How to embed your Medium feed on your website

1. Open the feed dashboard, choose Medium in the Platform selector, and give your feed a name.
2. For an author, include the @ prefix, such as @yourname. For a publication, enter its slug without @, such as your-publication. The prefix determines which feed Figments reads. The field is labeled “Medium @handle or publication”.
3. Choose Create and check the live preview. Confirm that the cards belong to the source you intended before adding them to your website.
4. Adjust the layout, colors, captions, and post count, then copy the embed code shown for your feed.

An author feed follows one writer. A publication feed brings together the stories made available by that publication. These are separate Medium feeds, so an author handle entered without @ may be interpreted as a publication. If the preview is empty, first check the prefix and spelling.

Use cards with captions for a recent-writing section, or the Pro list layout for a reading list. A thumbnail is available only when the source entry supplies an image. Choose a layout that still reads clearly when an article has no image, and add your own introduction explaining the subjects you write about.

The widget shows article cards, rather than republishing full articles or removing Medium's access restrictions. Readers follow a card to Medium, where the original story's access rules apply. The selection and freshness of articles depend on the public feed and Figments' cache.

Paste the generated snippet into a place that accepts HTML and JavaScript. Keep the feed identifier from the dashboard intact: it connects the widget to your saved configuration. Publish the page and open it as a visitor to check that the feed appears.

For WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or a plain HTML page, follow the website installation guide. Some page editors remove scripts or only execute them on the published site.

Check the source format above, confirm that the profile or collection is public, and look for an error in the dashboard preview. On your website, confirm that the editor retained the snippet and that you published the latest page. Content depends on the source platform's availability and may be served from cache.
