How to embed your Instagram feed on your website
Show visitors the photos and updates you already share on Instagram. Figments turns a public profile into a gallery of linked post cards, so a homepage, portfolio, or shop can show your social content alongside your own copy.
Connect your Instagram feed
- Open the feed dashboard, choose Instagram in the Platform selector, and give your feed a name.
- Enter the Instagram username, such as yourbrand. Use the profile handle, rather than a link to an individual post. The field is labeled “Instagram username”.
- Choose Create and check the live preview. Confirm that the cards belong to the source you intended before adding them to your website.
- Adjust the layout, colors, captions, and post count, then copy the embed code shown for your feed.

Choose a public profile you can republish
The feed reads publicly available posts. A private account or content that requires a visitor to log in is not a suitable source. Choose your own profile, or one whose owner has given you permission to display their posts. Open the profile before setup to confirm that it has recent public content.
Match the gallery to its place on the page
Cards show captions alongside images, which helps visitors understand a product launch or recent update. Grid gives images more emphasis on a portfolio. Start with a small number of posts and check how many columns fit on a phone. Carousel, mosaic, and list layouts are available with Pro.
Keep your page useful beyond the feed
Introduce the gallery with a sentence explaining what visitors will find, and keep your product details or contact information in the page itself. The Instagram cards link to the original posts. Figments caches content, so a new post or deleted post may not be reflected immediately; check the live preview when something looks out of date.
Add the snippet to your website
Paste the generated snippet into a place that accepts HTML and JavaScript. Keep the feed identifier from the dashboard intact: it connects the widget to your saved configuration. Publish the page and open it as a visitor to check that the feed appears.
For WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or a plain HTML page, follow the website installation guide. Some page editors remove scripts or only execute them on the published site.
Choose a plan and a layout
The free plan includes cards and grid layouts, up to six posts, and a Figments badge. Pro is $3 per month and adds carousel, mosaic, and list layouts, up to twelve posts, custom CSS, and badge removal. Start with the free preview to decide how much space the feed needs.
See Figments pricingIf your feed does not appear
Check the source format above, confirm that the profile or collection is public, and look for an error in the dashboard preview. On your website, confirm that the editor retained the snippet and that you published the latest page. Content depends on the source platform's availability and may be served from cache.
Frequently asked questions — Instagram
Do I need to connect my Instagram account?
No. Enter the public instagram username as shown (yourbrand). Figments reads public posts — no OAuth is needed. Use your own profile or one you have permission to republish.
Why is my Instagram feed empty?
Check the handle format (Instagram username: yourbrand), confirm the profile is public and has recent posts, and look for an error in the dashboard preview. Private or login-gated content cannot appear.
Will it work on WordPress and Shopify?
Yes. Paste the same snippet in WordPress Custom HTML, Shopify Custom Liquid, Webflow Embed, Squarespace Code Block, Wix Embed HTML, or plain HTML. No plugin needed.
