Embed a social feed on WordPress
Add Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Medium, Vimeo or ULTRV to WordPress without a plugin. Create the feed in Figments, then paste one snippet in a Custom HTML block — it stays in sync with your social profiles.
Before you paste the code
Open the Figments dashboard, pick your source (Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Medium, Vimeo or ULTRV), and create the feed. Confirm the preview shows the posts you want, then choose layout, colors, and post count. Copy the entire generated snippet — keep its feed identifier intact.
Add the feed to WordPress
- In the block editor, add a Custom HTML block where the feed should appear.
- Paste the Figments snippet. Do not wrap it in additional code fences.
- Click Update / Publish and open the page's public URL. The editor preview may still show code — the live page runs the script.
On Classic Editor or page builders (Elementor, Divi), use their HTML or Custom HTML widget and paste the same snippet. For site-wide placement, add it to a reusable block or template part.
If your role or security plugin strips <script> tags, ask the site administrator to allow Custom HTML or use your host's supported custom-code area. See WordPress Custom HTML documentation.
Check the page as a visitor
- Open the published URL, not just the editor preview.
- Check phone width — cards should stack without horizontal scroll.
- Open a card to confirm it links to the original post or video.
- If nothing appears, compare the saved snippet to the dashboard and check the feed preview for a source error.

Do I need a WordPress plugin for Figments?
No. Figments is a single snippet you paste in a Custom HTML block. No plugin or theme change is required, and it works with any block theme or classic editor page that allows Custom HTML.
Why doesn't the feed show in the WordPress editor?
The block editor preview does not always execute third-party scripts. Publish the page and open its public URL — the feed renders on the live page even when the editor shows only code.
Will the feed slow down my WordPress site?
The snippet loads asynchronously and images are cached by Figments. The feed renders in a Shadow DOM and does not block page paint. Keep post count at 6 for the free plan to stay light.
